Clarissa Gonzalez

Clarissa Gonzalez is a Legal Fellow at the Survivors Justice Project.

Clarissa is from the Bronx, NY and joins the team with a commitment to holistic legal representation that centers people and their experiences. She is a recent graduate of the City University of New York School of Law. As a law student, Clarissa served as a fellow for the Center on Latinx Rights and Equality as well as the Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice. In those spaces she worked to build community and advance issues prevalent to her local community. She also participated in the Human Rights and Gender Justice Clinic before becoming a Pro Bono Scholar.

With a passion for both Criminal and Immigration Defense, Clarissa supports the ongoing work and mission of the Survivors Justice Project. Her work includes tracking the statewide implementation of the DVSJA, responding to inquiries from survivors inside and capturing the impact of the law thus far.

Prior to this role, Clarissa served as an AmeriCorps member in Philadelphia, PA. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Maryland and her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law.
